Title: I Could Start Fires
Medium: Oil Pastel and Resin on Birch Wood Panel
Size: 5 x 5 inches
This small original abstract landscape is a bold orange and red sunset that fades into a deep, sultry brown earth below. Glittery golds shimmer across the panel to create a soft, hazy horizon with bold bursts of red.
The edges are painted and a saw tooth hanger makes it easy to hang without the need for a frame. I finish each painting off with a thin layer of resin. This creates a strong protective barrier and creates a heightened look of wet paint. The resin also creates a shiny reflective surface, indicated by the reflection of my camera in the photographs above.
